An ice princess isn’t cold, she is perfectly cool.
When its dark and gloomy outside, the last thing I want to do is join the sombre mood. I do my best to stand out from the sea of black coats and poker faces with a hint of shine and a smile
Here is my attempt to channel arctic royalty using layers of subtle and playful sophistication.
The Lil’ Miss Fashionista Low-down
- To achieve a winner “winter” contrast, set metallic silver against solid black or shades of grey. I started with quality thermal–a black innerwear that follows the form of a dress. It served as a canvas for my silver mesh over-sized sweater.
- Black tights are functional, but they can get boring. So I went with a pair with sparkly detailing. The hosiery design was intended to be worn at the front to complement a LBD (little black dress). However, as my one-of-a-kind sweater already gave me shine at the front, I went against the rules and flaunted the detailing at the back instead for a “sexy surprise!”
- These indigo knee-high boots from River Woods are a “reward for self” piece I bought while I was living in Belgium. I knew then that they aren’t the most practical but I just had to have them. I’ve so far been happy with the decision as these soft-leather served as statement footwear for some of my favorite looks to date.
- And to finish, here’s the “royal coating,” keeping it sweetly stylish with baby pink!
